Contains letters describing Jameson's military experiences. Includes a log of his voyages on transport ships in the Atlantic, Mediterranean, and the English Channel. Discusses life in Manchester during German bombing raids. Also includes details of his induction, life on the transport ships, and the fear from sustaining bombardment from coastal batteries in North Africa. Describes his last voyage, transporting troops during the Normandy invasion, in which his ship was torpedoed and nearly sunk. Includes Jameson's military photographs and discharge papers, and photographs of the Auckland Star, torpedoed and sunk in 1940.
